Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seniorIAM architect to lead enterprise IAM platform design and automation initiatives in a US-based setting. You will shape identity governance, PAM, SSO, and zero-trust strategies, while guiding cross-functional teams across security operations, cloud engineering, and application teams.

The role emphasizes API-driven integrations, IaC, and AI/ML-assisted identity analytics to improve access governance and risk scoring.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of IAM, platform engineering, cybersecurity engineering, software development, cloud engineering, or related disciplines.
Experience designing and deploying IAM automation solutions using APIs, scripting, workflow orchestration, or automation platforms.
Hands-on experience with SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Entra ID, Ping Identity, CyberArk, ForgeRock, BeyondTrust, or equivalent platforms.
Experience developing automation using PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Terraform, REST APIs, or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, SCIM, LDAP, and JWT.
Experience designing solutions supporting Identity Governance, Access Management, Privileged Access Management, and Zero Trust initiatives.
Knowledge of AI, machine learning, large language models (LLMs), intelligent automation, or analytics platforms applied to identity and cybersecurity use cases.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategic design, implementation, and continuous evolution of enterprise IAM platforms.
Architect and deliver automation for identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, deprovisioning, certification campaigns, privileged access controls, and compliance reporting.
Design and develop API-driven integrations, identity orchestration workflows, and Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities.
Evaluate and implement AI and machine learning capabilities for access recommendations, anomaly detection, role mining, access analytics, and identity risk scoring.
Partner with security operations, enterprise architecture, cloud engineering, and application teams.
Lead self-service identity solutions while maintaining governance and security controls.
Design automation frameworks using scripting, workflow engines, low-code/no-code platforms, and AI-powered tools.
Analyze identity telemetry, authentication patterns, privileged access activity, and behavioral analytics.
Advise senior technology leadership on ITDR, AI for cybersecurity, identity analytics, and intelligent identity governance.
Lead architecture decisions involving IGA, PAM, SSO, MFA, passwordless authentication, and Zero Trust.
Develop enterprise standards, architecture patterns, and reusable automation frameworks.
Design resilient identity solutions for cloud-first technologies, digital transformation, and regulatory requirements.
Mentor engineers and architects.
Evaluate emerging IAM, automation, and AI technologies to guide strategic investments and platform modernization.

Requirements
