Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks an experienced engineer to join the Advanced Threat Defeat group. You will help lead our team to accomplish next generation hypersonics program goals, interfacing with management, partners, and customers. The role requires active security clearance and onsite work.

You will plan, analyze, integrate, and implement system schedules, manage testing strategies, and present results. Collaboration across disciplines and travel as needed are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 5 years related experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience with technical systems (mechanical, electrical, software) including requirements, design, and integration.
• Experience interacting with DoW, NNSA and lab partners (e.g., MDA, AFRL, Navy).
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent (e.g., DoW Top Secret).

Responsibilities

• Represent the organization with management, partners, stakeholders, and customers.
• Provide leadership in a team environment and guide directions.
• Plan, analyze, integrate, and implement system schedules to support missions.
• Manage testing strategies and verification activities to ensure performance.
• Present design, analysis, and test results to stakeholders.
• Evaluate design solutions and support system integration and implementation.
• Support travel and work onsite as required.
