Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Human Factors Engineer in Melbourne, Florida. You will join the Human Systems Integration team to ensure aircraft hardware and software are operable by US military crews, applying strong systems engineering background.

Responsibilities include requirements evaluation, HF analyses, PITL assessments, and test activities with documentation per DoD standards. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Human Factors/Engineering field with relevant experience.
• Experience with MIL-STD-1472, survey development and test report writing.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher and ability to obtain Program Access.

Responsibilities

• Support evaluation of requirements per Human Factors best practices and MIL-STD-1472 sections.
• Contribute to Human Factors analyses including task analyses and usability studies.
• Plan and conduct PITL assessments and analyze results for design improvements.
• Support verification activities: readability, lighting, anthropometric accommodation, CAS, MRT and maintainer tests.
• Perform computer-based and empirical accessibility assessments from operator and maintainer perspectives.
• Document HFE processes and products per DoD and internal standards.
• Collaborate with Design IPTs to ensure design meets HFE requirements and safety goals.
