Job summary

Northrop Grumman Cincinnati (aka Xetron) is seeking a Sr Principal Hardware Test Engineer to join the System Integration & Test (SEIT) team in Cincinnati, OH. The role involves leading hardware test activities across the program life cycle, including requirements analysis, test procedure development, test execution, and formal reporting.

This position will be 100% on-site. Please be aware that the candidate must obtain final clearances prior to start date; a Top Secret clearance is required, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related test experience, or a Master’s with 6 years, or a PhD with 3 years.
• Experience authoring test plans and hardware test procedures with data integrity and cataloging.
• Demonstrated leadership of System Test efforts in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with hardware test execution, diagnostics, and verification with traceability.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware test requirements and integration test plans, TRRs, data, and reports.
• Execute hardware qualification testing per requirements, plans, and procedures.
• Lead cross-functional testing with hardware, software, and systems engineers in lab and field.
• Conduct formal reviews such as Test Readiness Reviews with stakeholders.
• Manage test equipment design, development, or integration and data acquisition systems.
• Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and perform root cause analysis.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact during test events and report results.
