Job summary
BNY Mellon is seeking a Director, Full Stack Engineer for its Data and Analytics Solutions team in Boston, MA, with consideration for Pittsburgh, PA. You will design and build Java and Python microservices within an enterprise-scale platform, coordinating with architects to optimize performance, cost, and resilience across regions.
The role includes provisioning Azure infrastructure via Terraform, operating Kubernetes, and leading CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 14+ years of software development experience with enterprise-scale microservices.
- Strong Java (Spring Boot) and Python experience; scripting in Bash/Groovy.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java and Python microservices for an enterprise-scale platform.
- Collaborate with architects to evaluate trade-offs for performance, cost, resilience, and global expansion.
- Provision and manage Azure Cloud infrastructure via Terraform; region-aware provisioning strategies.
- Build, deploy, and operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes with service mesh and security tooling.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins Groovy, Harness) for multi-region releases.
- Implement monitoring and automation using New Relic; conduct RCAs for reliability at scale.
- Work with Snowflake and PostgreSQL for data integrations and optimization.
- Create Slack integrations and leverage AI-assisted development tools to streamline workflows.
