Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior engineering leader to provide technical leadership, mentorship and strategic direction for complex programs and projects. The role requires translating engineering theory into actionable plans for senior leadership while driving innovation across disciplines.

The candidate will oversee program planning, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline with 10 years of experience; OR Master’s degree with 8 years; OR PhD with 6 years
• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, verbally and in writing
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 20% and internationally up to 50%

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship for engineering projects and programs
• Define and drive leading practices and transfer technical expertise
• Interpret engineering theory for senior leadership to support decision-making
• Lead, review and investigate engineering projects across disciplines
• Align engineering efforts with strategic goals and long-term technical strategies
• Communicate to influence strategy and execution with diverse audiences
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement in processes, products and systems
• Participate in industry events and training to keep state-of-practice updated
