Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) seeks a Principal Engineer for its Risk Intelligence and Digital Identity & Fraud (DI&F) organization. You will lead architecture and hands-on delivery for secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions in fraud prevention, identity verification, and account validation.

You will shape architecture, mentor engineers, and drive engineering standards while remaining deeply involved in design reviews and delivery across teams.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in software development and delivery.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong Backend experience with enterprise-grade APIs and services.
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction and engineering outcomes for a DI&F product, platform, or capability area.
• Design, develop, and enhance high-performance APIs and distributed platform capabilities.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture guidance, code review, and prototyping.
• Lead the design and evolution of microservices-based distributed systems using cloud-native practices.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical quality, delivery practices, and engineering capability.
