Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• At least 15 years of relevant industry experience in product development, cost planning and technical/team leadership.
• Demonstrable expertise in part design, materials and manufacturing cost drivers.
• Expertise in electrical harnesses, battery management systems, infotainment or interior lighting.
• Ability to optimize designs for cost, investment and manufacturability.
• Ability to assess proposal feasibility and cross-functional impact.
• Working knowledge of CATIA, Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting.
• Strong facilitation and technical communication in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Automotive industry experience is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Leads category cost optimization discussions and drives alignment among design, cost, purchasing and stakeholders.
• Assesses proposals vs. alternatives and sets direction, actions, priorities and schedules for the Cost Planning team.
• Guides cost engineers on analysis approach, issue breakdown, task ownership and timing.
• Influences decisions through cost, feasibility, competitiveness and customer value.
• Collaborates with design, purchasing and suppliers to understand impact on quality, manufacturability and timing.
• Leads profit improvement themes and provides technical context for recommendations.
• Consults with internal and external partners to confirm assumptions and strengthen proposals.
• Assists leadership with administrative duties related to performance and mentoring.
