Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a senior engineering leader to architect and drive AI-agent based workflows across multiple teams. You will shape agent platforms, ensure secure integration, and deliver production-grade capabilities that improve delivery speed, quality, and observability.

The role requires deep expertise in distributed systems, APIs, CI/CD, and AI tooling. You will work with Security, Legal, and business stakeholders to maintain safe, compliant modernization across critical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience at Senior Principal/Principal level across multiple teams or domains.
• Hands-on software engineering with production systems.
• Experience with large language model APIs, tool-using agents, agent orchestration.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, cloud infrastructure, testing, observability, and production operations.
• Ability to influence technical direction without direct authority.
• Clear communication to engineering, executives, and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and productionize AI agents and workflows for requirements, coding, review, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Build reusable agent skills, integrations, evaluation harnesses, templates, and reference implementations.
• Integrate AI capabilities into developer platforms, repositories, IDEs, CI/CD pipelines, and operational tooling.
• Evaluate agent platforms for capability, security, reliability, cost, and enterprise fit.
• Partner with Security, Privacy, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to translate policies into practical controls.
• Ensure AI-generated changes meet testing, review, security, and production readiness.
