Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer/Architect to act as the technical authority for global SRE and Platform Engineering. You will drive an AI-enabled autonomous SRE transformation, bridging infrastructure products with operational excellence and translating complex requirements into automated, self-service platform capabilities.

You will partner with product architectures and engineering teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and an outstanding developer experience

Qualifications

• Proven technical leadership in large-scale platform projects.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience applying AI tooling, LLMs, or agentic frameworks to platform engineering.

Responsibilities

• Audit and design end-to-end architectural frameworks for Platform/SRE.
• Lead AI-powered innovations to optimize costs and automate triage of anomalies.
• Own projects from inception to delivery, ensuring scalable, self-healing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate metrics into automated workflows.
• Maintain automated validation and immutable deployment structures.
