Job summary

Amira Learning is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, implement, and own large-scale backend systems. You will work with AWS data pipelines and multi-language stacks (Node.js, Python, .NET, SQL) to deliver AI-assisted features and scalable services.

This fully remote role accepts applicants from anywhere in the United States. The role requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science and at least three years of production software and ML experience, with a strong emphasis on scalable

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
• 3 years of experience designing, developing, testing and deploying software and ML in production.
• Fully remote; US-only work location.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own complex backend systems end-to-end.
• Operate data pipelines and AWS-based services.
• Build backend APIs and data workflows in cloud-native setup.
• Work across Node.js, Python, .NET, and SQL to deliver insights.
• Translate requirements into designs and guide cross-functional teams.
• Implement CI/CD, tests, and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Mentor teammates and refine team processes.
