Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Sr Principal Embedded Software Engineer to join our Software Technologies Organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related STEM field is required.
• US Citizenship required.
• Secret Clearance to start; must maintain clearance and SAP.
• 6+ years of experience with C/C++ and real-time embedded software.
• 6+ years of experience with full software lifecycle: spec, design, implement, integrate, test, maintain.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and modify existing software and apply modern development techniques.
• Identify risks, mitigate, track defects, report status.
• Design, construct, execute unit tests and verify test plans.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to test software on simulators and production hardware.
• Identify and assess new technologies prior to implementation.
• Participate in technical peer reviews to ensure end-to-end requirements are met.
