Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer to design complex electrical systems for defense programs, ensure MIL-STD compliance, and lead a team of engineers in MBSE and Agile practices.

You will evaluate vendor data, manage Electrical Technical Data Packages, perform advanced analyses with ETAP, MATLAB, and ANSYS, and interface with customers and suppliers to meet program timelines and performance goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of experience, or 3 years with a Master's
US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance
Experience with Siemens NX and MBSE in aerospace/defense projects
Experience with systems engineering tools such as CAMEO/DOORS and MBSE practices
Hands-on experience with network analyzers and CAD/EM tools

Responsibilities

Support design of complex electrical systems, ensuring MIL-STD/UFC/compliance
Oversee evaluation of vendor data sheets and technical proposals
Lead creation and management of Electrical Technical Data Packages and baseline configuration
Conduct advanced electrical analyses using ETAP, MATLAB, ANSYS
Mentor engineers and liaise with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams
Lead adoption of Agile and model-based engineering practices (MBSE)
