Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a DevOps Engineer at Level 3 or 4 to evolve processes and infrastructure for rapid, secure software delivery. You’ll work in lab and development environments with containerized and bare-metal systems, integrating pipelines with automation tools and test-driven workflows.

You will collaborate with developers and operations to support build environments, deployment, and OS issues, employing Kubernetes, Podman, OpenShift, Docker, and related DevOps toolchains.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux-based development and lab environments experience.
• Scripting to automate configuration, deployment, and maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and configuration automation.
• Ability to work with engineers and leads on schedule-driven programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and maintain build, integration, test, and deployment environments.
• Implement scalable provisioning and deployment techniques with configuration management and versioning.
• Monitor and improve software quality via automated tests and coverage metrics.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize workflows and resolve environment issues.
• Administer containerized, virtualized, and lab environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift/Podman/Docker).
• Perform system administration and hardware support tasks and document configurations.
