Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chantilly, VA seeks a Senior Principal Cyber Systems / Network Engineer to monitor, maintain, and support a mission-critical network infrastructure. You will produce documentation, upgrade networks, and deliver Tier-2/3 support while collaborating with multiple teams to develop secure, scalable solutions.

The role requires TS/SCI with Poly, extensive experience with RMF/ATO, and strong Linux/Windows, virtualization (KVM/VMware), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and Cisco CLI

Qualifications

• Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Experience with RMF and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
• Experience troubleshooting using the OSI model.
• Experience with networking hardware: ethernet cables, fiber, rack gear.
• Basic understanding of Cisco CLI commands.
• Experience working with integrated teams across systems, software, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and administrative support onsite for developers/testers while maintaining security standards.
• Develop, implement, and support solutions for mission-critical infrastructure.
• Analyze systems and networks; propose proactive changes for efficiency.
• Collaborate with mission system developers to deploy client-focused solutions.
• Maintain and apply STIG configurations for network devices.
• Respond to security findings and break/fix events across the infrastructure.
• Create and maintain network documentation including SOPs and Visio diagrams.
