Job summary

Signature Federal Systems seeks a Senior Principal Cyber Engineer (Network Focus) in Chantilly, VA to design, implement, secure, and sustain complex enterprise networks supporting critical missions.

You will lead cross-functional teams, optimize routing, security, and virtualization across data center, cloud, and hybrid environments, delivering resilient and highly available networks while driving automation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years IT experience in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years experience in cybersecurity or network engineering.
• Proficiency in BGP and OSPF routing.
• Experience with network virtualization: EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS.
• Experience with multi-vendor equipment: Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, Nutanix.
• IAT Level II certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interact with engineers, cross-functional teams, and customers at multiple levels to gather, coordinate, and deliver technical information.
• Troubleshoot and build complex, highly available network topologies.
• Develop and manage network monitoring and alerting using SNMP, flow analytics, packet inspection, and telemetry.
• Lead complex network troubleshooting across enterprise, data center, cloud, and hybrid environments.
