Job summary

Bcore is seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer for our Chantilly, VA program supporting a government customer. The role focuses on design, deployment, and security of enterprise networks across cloud and on-prem environments, including containers, data centres, and storage systems.

The ideal candidate will have 11+ years in network engineering, strong Linux expertise, VPN and security gear experience, and the ability to provide after-hours support. TS/SCI with poly is required.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of network engineering experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees preferred in related disciplines
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP/AWS/Azure) and VPCs
• Experience hardening Linux OS in cloud/physical environments
• Experience configuring security devices (firewalls, IDS/IPS) and networking gear
• Experience with commercial VPNs and messaging apps on devices
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide after-hours support

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer network infrastructure for government mission programs
• Manage cloud and on-premises network assets, including end-point devices and data center servers
• Configure and secure networking gear (firewalls, switches, routers, IDS/IPS) and VPNs
• Support network analytics, storage systems, and containerised workloads
• Collaborate with teams to deliver mission-critical IT solutions
• Provide after-hours call-in support as needed
