Job summary

Celero Communications, Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Application Engineer in Irvine or San Jose to lead customer integration and deployment of coherent DSP-based optical modules.

You will work with DSP/ASIC/hardware/firmware teams and with hyperscalers to validate and optimize solutions for AI infrastructure and cloud networking. The role requires strong DSP, optical engineering, and system-level skills, with travel up to 25–40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Optical Engineering or Applied Physics.
• Strong fundamentals in digital signal processing, telecommunications theory, and optical communications.
• Experience with coherent optical modules and high-speed DSP-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Own customer integration and deployment of coherent DSP-based optical modules and systems.
• Collaborate with hyperscalers, NEMs, and partners on system design, bring-up, and testing.
• Troubleshoot cross-disciplinary issues spanning DSP, optics, and host interfaces; drive issues to root cause.
