Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) in the United States seeks a Senior Principal Cloud Engineer to architect, deploy, secure, and sustain enterprise multi-cloud platforms (Azure Government, AWS, hybrid) across multiple security classifications.

You will lead a team of cloud engineers, drive incident response, and oversee DevSecOps, automation, and cost governance while delivering mission-critical capabilities for government clients.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience architecting and engineering multi-cloud solutions (Azure Government, AWS, hybrid).
• Leadership managing engineering teams in secure, mission-critical environments.
• Deep knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, Cloud SRG, and Zero Trust.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect secure, scalable multi-cloud solutions across Azure Government, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cloud engineers sustaining operations across multi-cloud platforms.
• Plan, architect, and deploy complex Digital Engineering solutions including Cameo/Teamwork Cloud, IBM DOORS, AutoCAD.
• Manage platform security from OS to cloud layers per RMF, NIST 800-53, and CIS benchmarks.
• Implement identity services (ICAM, SSO, MFA) and Zero Trust architectures.
• Drive cloud modernization with CAF, Azure Well-Architected Framework and PaaS adoption.
