Job summary

Gulf Interstate in Houston, TX is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to lead complex pipeline facilities projects. You will manage a team of Civil/Structural Engineers and Designers, review specifications, and ensure design integrity across the project lifecycle.

The role requires 8+ years of pipeline facilities experience, a PE license, and strong communication skills to coordinate with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

Typically 8+ years experience focusing on pipeline facilities.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards and codes (ACI, IBC, AISC, ANSI).
Experience with civil/structural analysis software: RISA 3D, MAT 3D, Foundation 3D, LPile.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepares or reviews discipline project specifications.
Prepares or reviews requisitions for inquiry in support of purchasing.
Approves technical bid evaluations with Procurement.
Prepares and reviews proposals for Geotechnical Investigation & Topographic Surveys.
Develops site plans, grading, and foundation plans as required.
Prepares or reviews civil and structural calculations for design.
Coordinates with client personnel regarding Civil/Structural activities.
Reviews vendor documents and project status reports.
