Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Electronics Engineer for the Air Dominance Division in Oklahoma City, OK or Melbourne, FL. The role supports avionics sustainment and new technologies with no hybrid or remote work, on a 9/80 schedule and office-based collaboration.

The incumbent will lead design, development, and integration of avionics systems, mentor engineers, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain technical direction and meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8 years of related experience; OR a Master’s with 6 years; OR a PhD with 4 years.
• Strong understanding of electronics systems and qualification/test requirements for flight equipment.
• Ability to obtain US Government Secret clearance and SAP clearance within business timelines.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, integrate, and test avionics electronics and components.
• Coordinate status, challenges, impacts, and mitigations with Chief Engineers and program management.
• Oversee supplier interfaces and mentor engineers to achieve technical objectives.
• Ensure hardware design, verification, and quality standards compliance across contracts.
• Coordinate with program management to meet SOW and technical requirements.
• Support change packages and technical interchange meetings.
• Analyze problems and develop viable engineering solutions.
