Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer - Automation Engineering for the Lilly Medicines Foundry in Indiana. This role supports GMP operations, capital projects, and a growing automation organization, starting with Parkwood West in Indianapolis and ultimately located at the Lebanon site.

Expect travel for FATs and cross-functional work, with compensation reflecting experience and market norms. The role emphasizes mentorship, process control strategy development, and oversight of DCS/SCADA

Qualifications

Minimum B.S. in Engineering or related discipline.
8+ years of Automation Engineering experience.
Experience with DeltaV, Rockwell, Syncade and MES systems.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Knowledge of GMP and computer system validation.
Experience with high potency labs is a plus.
Ability to lead design reviews and coordinate project work.

Responsibilities

Mentor process control team, including design, controls philosophy, implementation and commissioning.
Process control work implementation and coordination.
Review and monitor financial performance; commit to meeting targets.
Develop and implement the Automation Engineering Project Plan.
Lead design reviews, FATs, and coordinate with Site Area leads.
Provide status updates to Project Management; support validation strategies.
