Job summary
Lilly is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer - Automation Engineering to join the Automation Engineering Department at the Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon, Indiana.
The role focuses on leading process-control strategy, design reviews, and commissioning for a new manufacturing campus set for startup between 2025 and 2028. You will mentor engineers, drive project plans, and collaborate across disciplines to enable GMP-compliant, efficient manufacturing with validated control systems and scalable
Qualifications
- Minimum B.S. in Engineering or related discipline and 8+ years of experience in Automation Engineering.
- Experience in design, development, commissioning and qualification of highly automated manufacturing sites utilizing SCADA, DCS, PLC and MES systems (DeltaV, Rockwell, Syncade, etc).
- Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide sponsorship for visas.
Responsibilities
- Mentor process control team, including design, controls philosophy, implementation and commissioning.
- Lead/participate in design reviews and DeltaV application software reviews; supervise commissioning.
- Lead a team of automation engineers supporting commissioning and provide periodic project updates.
- Develop functional requirements and control strategies for system integration and site-wide standards.
