Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Principal Architect to lead and oversee major architecture projects from planning through completion in Seattle. You will partner with design, technical, and project management leadership to drive strategy, client satisfaction, and financial performance, while guiding staffing and risk management.

The role emphasizes senior-level oversight across complex projects, client relationship management, and active participation in business development within a hybrid work

Qualifications

• 15+ years in architecture or AEC leadership roles.
• Experience leading large, multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven client relationship management and business development.
• Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and oversight of large architectural projects through planning to completion.
• Partner with design, technical, and project management leadership to set strategy and ensure delivery.
• Maintain high-level client relationships, including presentations and negotiations.
• Support business development by cultivating client relationships and pursuing opportunities.
• Oversee project financial performance: budgets, profitability, invoicing, and resource planning.
• Guide staffing strategy and coordinate internal/external resources.
• Monitor schedules, consultant performance, quality, and delivery.
• Identify and mitigate project, contractual, and financial risks.
• Lead and develop project teams while fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve project performance and broader business objectives.
• Represent Actalent in the local AEC community and industry engagement.
