Job summary

RSA Architecture & Engineering is seeking a Senior Architect to serve as design and technical authority, leading projects from concept through construction administration. You will mentor staff, set standards, and collaborate with leadership on delivery, staffing and quality, while guiding client relationships and maintaining design integrity across projects.

The Opportunity

RSA Architecture & Engineering is entering a planned leadership transition as our current architect retires in December. We’re seeking a Senior Architect who will serve as the firm’s design and technical authority for architecture, with a clear, supported path into the Principal Architect role.

This position is ideal for a licensed architect who wants design leadership, influence, and stability.

This position is an on-site role based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

• Serve as the firm’s architectural design and technical authority

• Partner closely with the RSA General Manager on delivery, staffing, and quality
• Lead client presentations and steward ongoing client relationships
• Ensure technical excellence, code compliance, and design integrity across projects

Who We’re Looking For

• Licensed Architect (active U.S. license; NCARB Certificate strongly supported)
• 8+ years of professional experience (5+ licensed)
• Portfolio demonstrating design excellence and project delivery across multiple typologies
• Strong technical expertise and comfort leading teams and consultants
• Collaborative, steady leadership style with a desire to mentor and shape standards
• Ability to help develop business opportunities for a growing firm
