Job summary

Skyworks Power Management division seeks an experienced Analog Power Design Engineer to drive architecture, design, and validation of next-generation power management ICs. Hybrid onsite role: Richardson, TX or San Jose, CA with global collaboration across teams.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 15+ years in semiconductor design, with 8+ years in analog/mixed-signal IC design including DC-DC converters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 15+ years of engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.
• 8+ years in analog/mixed-signal IC design with DC-DC power converters and control techniques.
• Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with EDA tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Simplis, and ADS; parasitic extraction and related flows.
• Experience with production release of power management ICs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of high-performance analog power management ICs with emphasis on efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with system engineers to define architecture and specifications balancing performance, power, and cost.
• Select topologies and ensure robustness, yield, and manufacturability.
• Perform transistor-level design, simulation, and validation per specs.
• Coordinate with layout to optimize floor planning and silicon performance.
• Engage with global teams to align development strategies and execution plans.
• Support validation methodologies and optimize production test strategies.
