Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. is seeking an Sr Principal Analog IC Design Engineer in Richardson, TX (and option for San Jose, CA) with 15+ years in semiconductor analog/mixed-signal design.

You will lead architecture, design and validation of high-performance PMICs, partnering with global teams to optimize efficiency, reliability and performance. The role requires a Bachelor’s in EE and extensive experience with DC-DC converters, EDA tools, and production releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 15+ years in the semiconductor industry.
• 8+ years in analog and mixed-signal IC design with DC-DC power converter architectures.
• Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Experience with EDA tools such as EMIR and parasitic extraction tools.
• Experience with production release of PMICs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of high-performance analog power management ICs.
• Collaborate with system engineers to define product architecture and specifications.
• Select and implement optimal circuit topologies for robustness and manufacturability.
• Conduct transistor-level design, simulation, and validation.
• Work with layout engineers to optimize floor planning and silicon performance.
• Engage with global design teams to align on strategies.
• Partner with test/characterization engineers to define validation methodologies.
• Drive technical reviews and document trade-offs to stakeholders.
