Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. is hiring a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer in Richardson, TX (hybrid onsite with San Jose, CA option). You will drive architecture, design, and validation of high-performance analog power ICs, collaborating with global teams to deliver efficient, reliable products.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in EE, 12+ years in semiconductors, and 8+ years in analog/mixed-signal IC design with DC-DC converters. Cadence Virtuoso, Simplis, and ADS are preferred. Competitive base salary offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
12+ years of engineering experience in semiconductors.
8+ years in analog/mixed-signal IC design with DC-DC converters and control methods.
Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Experience with EDA tools such as parasitic extraction, capacitive coupling tools, etc.
Experience with production release of power management ICs.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of high-performance analog power management ICs.
Collaborate with system engineers to define architecture and specs.
Select and implement optimal circuit topologies for robustness and manufacturability.
Conduct transistor-level design, simulation, and validation.
Work with layout to optimize floor planning and silicon performance.
Engage with global teams to align development strategies.
Define validation methodologies with test engineers and optimize production tests.
Drive technical reviews and present design decisions to stakeholders.
