Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Senior Principal Release Train Engineer / Solution Train Engineer to lead agile trains across multiple teams for mission-critical defense programs. You will drive roadmaps, coordinate events, and ensure alignment with customer and program needs, applying Lean and digital engineering practices to optimize delivery.

Qualifications

Experience with Agile or Integrated Product teams and lifecycle tools.
Ability to lead multi-team synchronization and manage dependencies.
Active SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Degree plus 10+ years experience, or advanced degree with 7+ years.

Responsibilities

Serve as Senior Principal Release Train Engineer and/or Solution Train Engineer for complex, multi-team Agile trains.
Lead development, communication, and management of Agile roadmaps across teams, trains, and stakeholders.
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Increment Planning, Roadmapping, Retrospectives, and risk reviews.
Identify and mitigate cross-team impediments affecting cost, schedule, or performance.
Work with engineering, product, and program leadership to keep roadmaps realistic and aligned.
Drive Lean and CI improvements to enhance flow and value delivery.
Champion digital engineering tools, analytics, and automation across trains.
Coordinate dependencies, integration points, and system-level alignment.
Monitor delivery metrics including Earned Value and support corrective actions.
