Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Secaucus, NJ to lead pricing initiatives and collaborate across Clinical Solutions and Finance. You will develop value-based pricing, build dashboards, and generate models to inform strategic pricing negotiations.

The role requires 4–7 years of related experience, strongExcel and data tools proficiency, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of pricing, operations, finance, marketing, or sales analysis experience with strong quantitative capabilities
• BA/BS or higher in Finance, Economics or related field
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop accurate, detailed solutions
• Strong AI literacy: craft prompts, evaluate AI outputs, and integrate insights into deliverables
• Strong data manipulation and modeling using Excel (macros, pivot tables)
• Advanced experience with data analysis tools (Access, SQL and/or Python), dashboards (Tableau/Power BI), and financial modeling/analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Initiative and ability to prioritize multiple assignments

Pay Range: $100,000 - $115,000 / year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. The Pricing Strategy team has an opportunity available for a Senior Financial Analyst at our corporate headquarters in Secaucus, NJ. Pricing Strategy is a Center of Expertise within the Finance function.

Context:

Our Clinical Solutions are organized into eight disease/health states, including General Health & Wellness, Women’s and Reproductive Health, Oncology, Sports Diagnostics and more. A primary responsibility is to partner with Clinical Solutions Product Managers, Finance, Operations, Compliance and Legal to develop value-based pricing recommendations for product launches and strategic repricing.

Pricing recommendations are data driven.The Senior Financial Analyst role leverages internal systems and models to develop financial forecasts that lead to actionable insights in support of business solutions. There are opportunities for both ownership and/or partnership on decisions. Price adjustments have significant revenue implications based on the multiple payors in the healthcare industry, including Patient, Client, Third Party and Government.The role requires assessing implications of price adjustments by applying pricing fundamentals, financial rigor, and marketing strategy. There are large scale opportunities that require participation from stakeholders and business partners across the company.The Senior Financial Analyst will lead and/or partner on cross functional projects that support revenue growth, risk mitigation and/or operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Financial Analyst on the Pricing Strategy team plays a cross-functional role in developing, implementing, and managing a portfolio of key Strategic Pricing initiatives. These include Pricing Strategy, Clinical Solutions pricing,and Value Quantification.Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement pricing strategies based on thorough analysis of product offerings, market dynamics, and financial data. Strategies are built in collaboration with Clinical Solutions, Commercial, Compliance and other internal stakeholders.
• Design and generate analytic tools and dashboards to help the team and business partners efficiently process and interpret pricing data.
• Partner with Clinical Solutions Product Managers to create Value Quantification models that inform strategic pricing negotiations.
• Deliver fact-based recommendations to optimize revenue through pricing model enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Work Experience: Minimum of 4-7 years with a mix of pricing, operations, finance, marketing, or sales analysis experience with strong quantitative capabilities
• BA/BS or higher in Finance, Economics or related field.
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome ambiguity to develop accurate, detailed solutions.
• Strong AI literacy, demonstrating the ability to craft structured prompts, critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs, and integrate these insights into high-quality business deliverables.
• Strong data manipulation and modeling skillsets using Excel (e.g. macros, pivot tables).
• Advanced experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Access, SQL and/or Python), dashboarding (e.g. Tableau, Power BI), and financial modeling/analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments.
• Strong sense of personal accountability and the drive to make a difference in results and relationships.
