Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to provide analytical support for Pathology operations. You will own P&Ls and collaborate with Field Operations and Directors to drive profitability and cost efficiency.

The role involves monthly forecasting, AOP contributions, and modeling physician compensation, with close interaction with regional and corporate finance teams. Located in FL or NJ, on-site.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial insights and analytical support to Field Operations and Managing Directors.

Basic Purpose:The Senior Financial Analyst performs quantitative analysis in a supporting role for the Finance department and assists with various projects and ad hoc requests.

Responsibilities:

1. Support Field Operations and Managing Directors in providing financial insights and analytical support. This includes but is not limitedto: month end variance analysis and reporting of Pathology business, Pathology forecasts and profitability reviews(including cost of testing analytics), volume analysis and reporting,annual AOP preparation,pricing and billing analysis, integration activity analysis, and physician compensation plan analysis and reporting.
2. Ownership of multiple Pathology P&Ls and Balance Sheets. Partner with Pathology leadership to develop business plans, OM expansion initiatives, and detail analysis/proformasof currentand futurestate profitability.
3. Partner with Regional Finance Directors and Corporate Finance to ensure accuracy and understanding ofPathology results and key drivers. This includes month end variance analysis, participationinregional calls, integration analysis,outlooks,AOPand ad hoc requests.
4. Assist in annual AOP process as well as monthly financial forecasting for Pathology business. Gain understanding of variances and articulate drivers to various levels of management. This may be through email, financial calls, oron-sitemeetings.
5. Calculate and administer physician compensation calculations. Ensure accuracy to contract and timeliness of payments. Develop modeling of compensation plan changesand initiativesas requested.
6. Assist Centralized Accounting and Revenue Recognition teams with month-end close, as required. Tasks range from the generation of various journal entries and trend analysis, to the generation of month end financial reports. Participate in preclose and post close discussions with business partnersand advise on changes and updates.
7. Monitor, review and approvecapital spend verses budget. Assist with ROI analysis on large projects. Processing capital requests including obtaining matrix approvals, generating capital tracking numbers and notifying Asset Management when assets are placed in service. Facilitating asset transfers and disposals.
8. Support Finance Manager’sandDirector’s with various ad-hoc information requests. Perform routine and special projects as requestedto achieve goals of the division and company.
9. Develop reporting to provide field with information required to make key business decisions. Assist with business cases and financial analysis to support businessdecisions.

Qualifications:

Education:

BA/BS degree in a Finance orBusiness-relatedfield

Work Experience:

Minimum 5 years relevant Financial Analysis experience, preferably in the medical industry

Other:

• Strong Excel skills. Knowledge ofDatabaseand PowerPointis a plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills
