Job summary

White Cap is seeking a data analyst to gather disparate data, analyze and normalize it to ensure data quality for analysis. You will provide consistent, accurate data and guidance on available data definitions for analysis.

You will serve as a resource to clients, compile data, analyze trends, prepare cost analyses, and create reports with charts and maps. Leadership opportunities may arise to train analysts and lead projects.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline; MS/MA may be required in some areas.
• 5-8 years of experience in a related field; 3-5 years with MS/MA.
• Certification is required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource to assigned client in area of expertise.
• Gathers and compiles raw data; conducts research for industry trends and benchmarks; and normalizes data to be incorporated into a centralized data format.
• Analyzes, reports, makes comparisons to industry/company benchmarks, determines trends, and prepares cost analyses.
• Defines data definitions and documents data limitations.
• Prepares spreadsheets for data analysis; prepare reports with charts and graphs, mailing lists, maps and ad hoc requests.
• Provides recommendations based on findings and analysis. Provides input on policies and procedures.
• Participates on department and interdepartmental projects. May serve as Team Lead. May train Analysts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
