Job Title: Senior Pricing Analyst

Location: Manchester (flexible)

Role Overview

This role is for Atlanta Group, part of the Markerstudy Group.

Markerstudy Group is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to help develop and refine our pricing models. You will monitor our portfolio and deliver innovative pricing solutions within the Retail Pricing team for Atlanta Group.

As part of the retail pricing team, you will oversee trading across various channels and insurance products. The ideal candidate will have experience in general insurance pricing and be familiar with tools such as SAS, Python, RStudio, SQL, Emblem, and Radar. A keen, inquisitive mindset and a good understanding of the UK personal lines insurance market are essential. You should be open to change and focused on continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct retail price optimization analysis and modeling
• Develop customer propensity and Lifetime Value (LTV) models using SAS or SQL for data analysis
• Create innovative data solutions to extract insights and present data effectively
• Build and maintain sophisticated models, applying various data science techniques
• Promote the adoption of data science and statistical techniques within the team
• Communicate findings clearly to decision-makers to inform pricing strategies
• Collaborate with teams in pricing, underwriting, and data science
• Generate insights to support commercial decisions and strategic pricing adjustments to meet targets

Skills and Experience

• Experience in general insurance pricing
• Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques such as Logistic Regression, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Nets, and Clustering
• Proficiency in statistical and data science programming languages (e.g., R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL)
• A relevant quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science)
• Experience with WTW Radar software is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
