Job summary

RK Industries in Aurora, CO seeks a Senior Prevailing Wage Specialist to ensure accurate, compliant payroll across 70+ projects and multiple states. You will oversee certified payroll reporting, wage determinations, and related compliance activities while collaborating with Operations, General Contractors, and government agencies.

You will implement process improvements, maintain templates, and support year-end reconciliations, leveraging Excel and industry tools to strengthen payroll accuracy

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant payroll experience in certified or prevailing wage administration.
• Strong knowledge of Davis-Bacon and state/federal prevailing wage rules.
• Proficiency in multi-state payroll and tax procedures.
• Advanced Excel for complex spreadsheets and reporting.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly certified payroll reporting for Davis-Bacon and other prevailing wage requirements.
• Create and maintain craft/class templates, fringe schedules, and weekly payroll submissions.
• Upload transcripts to LCP Tracker, review and resubmit reports as needed.
• Coordinate with Operations, General Contractors, owners, and agencies on wage questions and determinations.
• Oversee RAPIDS apprenticeship enrollments and required uploads.
• Support year-end and tax reconciliations, W-2/W-3 reporting, and audit requests.
• Prepare spreadsheets, surveys, fringe calculations, and external reports.
• Understand overrides, pay codes, and journeyman-to-apprentice ratios; drive improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk and boost efficiency.
• Develop payroll training materials and mentor backups.
