Shell in Louisiana seeks a PEI Inspector to maintain the integrity, reliability, and regulatory compliance of pressure equipment and fixed assets across operating units. You will monitor equipment condition, evaluate inspection results, and advise on repairs or continued service to ensure safe operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors to support the PEI program, conduct inspections, and document findings in the Integrity Management System,

Qualificações

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• API 510 and API 570 certifications required.
• 8+ years of experience in refining, petrochemical, or related industries.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and computer proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary PEI representative for assigned operating units.
• Ensure pressure equipment is inspected within established intervals.
• Perform routine and non-routine inspections of pressure vessels, piping, tanks, relief devices.
• Oversee visual inspections, thickness monitoring, and NDE activities.
• Interpret inspection and NDE data and advise on repairs or continued operation.
• Maintain renewal thicknesses and evaluate remaining life.
• Support RBI assessments, corrosion reviews, and turnaround planning.
• Provide quality assurance oversight for contract inspection activities.
• Provide technical guidance to Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Projects.
• Participate in duty phone rotations and after-hours support.
• Conduct field surveillance to identify integrity concerns.
