Job summary

Shell is seeking a PEI Inspector to maintain integrity, reliability, and regulatory compliance of pressure equipment and fixed assets across assigned units. You will monitor equipment condition, interpret results, and recommend actions to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective plant operation.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors to support the PEI program, perform inspections, oversee NDE activities, and contribute to RBI assessments and risk

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.
• 8+ years of experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, or related industries.
• Current API 510 and API 570 certifications.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
• Ability to learn technical concepts and integrity management processes quickly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary PEI representative for assigned units and support reliability, maintenance planning, and turnaround readiness.
• Ensure pressure equipment is inspected within intervals and coordinate availability with Operations and Maintenance.
• Perform routine and non-routine inspections of pressure vessels, piping, tanks, relief devices, and other fixed equipment.
• Oversee visual inspections, thickness monitoring, and NDE activities to assess equipment condition and remaining life.
• Provide recommendations on repair, replacement, or continued operation of pressure equipment.
