Job summary

Forma-Fab Metals in Mebane, NC is seeking an experienced press brake operator to produce parts from metal and other materials using an Amada CNC press brake. You will read blueprints, set up tooling, load programs, and ensure parts meet dimensional specifications while maintaining safety and a strong attendance record.

Responsibilities include selecting punches and dies, verifying tool condition, inputting data into ERP, and completing paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must have press brake experience and be able to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with Amada equipment is highly preferred but not required.
• Solid background in sheet metal and tooling knowledge.
• Aptitude for math, problem-solving and computer skills.
• Ability to distinguish material types (Aluminum, Steel, Stainless).
• Ability to read blueprints and follow tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Select punches and dies based on material thickness and type.
• Set up tooling, load programs, and adjust machine parameters.
• Verify tools are undamaged and safe for use.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Keep area clean and organized.
• Provide attention to detail and focus on tasks.
• Collaborate with team to maximize productivity.
• Operate production machinery or assist operators.
• Produce parts meeting dimensional specifications from drawings.
• Maintain excellent attendance; overtime as needed.
• Input and maintain data in ERP/Global system.
• Complete paperwork and job sheets for the area.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
