Munters in Amesbury, MA is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator for 2nd shift to set up and run Amada press brake machines, producing precision sheet metal parts in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years’ experience with Amada or similar CNC press brakes, can read blueprints, select tooling, adjust for tight tolerances, and inspect parts with calipers and gauges; you will record production data and support safer,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience operating Amada or similar CNC press brakes.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of sheet metal properties.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Basic understanding of CNC programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set-Up and Operation: Set up Amada press brake machines for production runs using work instructions and blueprints.
• Select proper tooling and programming machine settings to meet part specifications.
• Adjust and align tooling as needed for optimal performance and accuracy.
• Operate the press brake to bend, form, and fabricate metal parts to tight tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers and protractors.
• Record production data and maintain setup sheets and job documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow PPE requirements.
