Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for large multi-family residential projects in the Columbus area.

This role oversees the entire estimation process, builds key industry relationships, and presents cost strategies directly to clients. Responsibilities include leading estimates, value engineering, bid procurement, takeoffs, and client presentations, with a focus on team collaboration and accuracy

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of estimating experience in large multi-family residential, apartments, HUD, OFHA, and senior housing.
• Deep understanding of current market pricing and unit pricing.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, create, and finalize comprehensive project estimates.
• Research materials, source alternatives, and develop value engineering ideas with costs.
• Build qualified subcontractor bid lists, call subcontractors to secure bids, and analyze bids and scopes.
• Develop preliminary preconstruction schedules and determine project staffing and general condition requirements.
• Complete detailed On-Screen Takeoffs.
• Prepare professional presentation documents and clearly present cost information to clients.
• Review, analyze, and correct estimates prepared by other team members.
