Qualifications

• 10 years of General Contractor related construction and preconstruction experience, at least 5 years on construction projects.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial sector construction (food, beverage, pharmaceutical) preferred.
• Experience negotiating contracts and bids for final presentation.
• Understanding of prime contracts requirements including schedules, scopes, budgets and performance expectations.
• Construction estimating and procurement experience.
• Willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and startup activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an effective preconstruction program with conceptual and preliminary budgets and schedules.
• Maintain master project estimate data base and cost data base.
• Develop and maintain a master list of prequalified vendors and subcontractors.
• Develop master bid documents and scopes of work; participate in procurement of major scopes.
• Develop project schedule templates; planning and scheduling.
• Participate in developing initial project estimates and schedules in consultation with the responsible Partner or Director.
• Advise project manager of procurement activities and major material purchases.
• Update project estimates based on 30/60/90 percent drawings.
• Participate in post project review with key personnel.
• Monitor quality control program activities and performance against budgets.
