Job summary

The Weitz Company in Denver, CO is hiring a Sr. Pre-Construction Manager to lead preconstruction activities, build strong client relationships, and coordinate with design teams to win work.

You will manage estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, and value analysis, while mentoring others and ensuring projects meet scope, budget, and milestones. Data center experience is preferred; sponsorship is not available at this time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of estimating and/or project management experience in construction.
• Experience in fast-paced environments and leading others to mentor teams.
• Data center experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain client relationships to support business development and repeat work.
• Support RFP responses, proposals, and interview prep with tailored schedules and materials.
• Lead the full preconstruction process: estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews and value analysis.
• Provide accurate conceptual and detailed estimates, including feasibility studies and subcontractor input.
• Oversee design-phase progress; ensure deliverables align with scope and budget.
• Identify and mitigate risks through contract language, market conditions, and scope analysis.
• Integrate BIM, LEED, Lean strategies to improve project delivery and satisfaction.
• Coordinate cross-functional input and ensure timely input from internal teams.
• Lead client presentations; communicate building systems, logistics, and VE clearly.
• Stay current with trends, materials, regulations to improve service delivery.
