Job summary

The PENTA Building Group is seeking Preconstruction Managers to join our team in Pasadena or Irvine, CA. Seniority depends on experience and you will participate in estimating, scheduling, planning, bidding, and budgeting across healthcare projects as needed.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, extensive experience in multiple delivery methods, and can lead a preconstruction team; OSHPD/HCAI knowledge is a plus. This is an in-person role based in CA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of verifiable construction estimating experience.
• Experience with local California healthcare projects a plus.
• Ability to pull data from limited information and manage multiple bids.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue potential projects with viable bid opportunities.
• Attend site walks and review bid documents and conditions.
• Develop narratives for proposals and tailor existing content.
• Perform takeoffs and internal pricing for complex scopes.
• Prepare and review full GMP or Lump Sum proposals with cost breakdowns.
• Lead preconstruction team and mentor staff.
