Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of estimating experience in commercial/industrial projects.
• Experience with large commercial/industrial projects from concept to close-out.
• Strong Excel skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent oral and written communication and stability in employment.
• Knowledge of Accubid; experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain contact with GC and A/E contacts to facilitate successful preconstruction process.
• Prepare preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction document estimates and studies during preconstruction.
• Ensure the accuracy of all estimates, including general conditions.
• Monitor cost trends to detect overruns and potential issues during preconstruction.
• Participate in design decisions, value engineering, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and aid in subcontract preparation.
• Assist in building project teams by discussing staffing with operations.
• Support business development with proposals and client relationships, and coordinate preconstruction materials with marketing.
