Job summary

CES Construction is seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager / Senior Cost Estimator to lead its internal preconstruction team. This role drives budgeting, scheduling, and procurement strategies for a diverse project portfolio, including CMAR and Design-Build pursuits.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in estimating and preconstruction, with strong software proficiency and a track record of delivering accurate, defensible estimates while leading a growing department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of construction estimating/preconstruction experience.
• Experience across municipal/infrastructure, commercial, governmental, and high-end residential projects.
• Experience with CMAR, Design-Build, and negotiated work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Preconstruction Department, staffing, workflows, and SOP integration.
• Develop standardized processes for conceptual estimating, GMP, VE, and data tracking.
• Coordinate with executives on pursuit strategy, risk, and client interfaces.
• Prepare estimates across all project phases and develop robust bid packages.
