Job summary

Auld & White Constructors is seeking an experienced Senior Preconstruction Manager to provide strategic leadership across complex commercial construction projects from concept through turnover to Operations. You will oversee budgets, estimates, schedules, constructability, value management, and procurement planning while collaborating with Owners, design teams, trade partners, and internal teams.

You will also provide senior-level technical leadership and mentorship to the preconstruction group,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of commercial construction experience with leadership in preconstruction.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability.
• Experience with design coordination, value management, and procurement planning.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and construction estimating/project management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts for large-scale, complex projects from design through turnover.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to Preconstruction Managers and Estimators.
• Support pursuits through preconstruction strategies, interviews, proposals, and other work-acquisition activities.
• Develop and manage project budgets and estimates; identify cost trends and risks.
• Lead preconstruction meetings, design-phase coordination, and presentations with Owners and design teams.
• Perform constructability reviews and develop value management recommendations.
• Develop project schedules during design phase, including milestones, permitting, procurement, and construction activities.
• Develop procurement strategies and evaluate proposals for scope, coverage, and pricing.
• Lead preconstruction-to-operations turnover and contribute to process improvements.
