Job summary

Kaufman Lynn Construction in Florida seeks a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction budgeting, estimates, and bid packages under CM at Risk. You will develop quantities, solicit subcontractor proposals, review plans for constructability and value engineering, and mentor junior staff.

You will collaborate with project management to build accurate bid strategies, manage multiple estimates, and ensure timely, competitive submissions across CSI trades.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of estimating experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management preferred.
• Experience with municipal, education, healthcare markets ideal.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as SmartBid.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs for CSI divisions across project documents.
• Develop accurate clarifications and assumptions with PM guidance.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Lead bid process, bid calendar, and bid day strategy with senior team.
• Coordinate plan clarifications with architects/engineers as needed.
