Kaufman Lynn Construction, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to join the preconstruction team in Delray Beach, FL. The role focuses on budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages for CM at Risk projects, with involvement in bid planning, subcontractor solicitation, and value engineering.

The ideal candidate will have estimating experience, proficient communication skills, and the ability to read drawings and contracts, supporting multiple project bids and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Construction preferred.
• 1+ years of estimating experience.
• Experience in Municipal Work, Higher Education, Healthcare, Public Schools, Assisted Living, Multifamily and Country Clubs or similar markets.
• Ability to read engineering and architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to read and understand contracts.
• Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; On-Screen Take Off required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, estimates and pre-bid packages for CM at Risk projects.
• Develop bidders list and solicit subcontractor proposals and scopes of work.
• Prepare quantity surveys and review plans for constructability and value engineering.
• Supervise estimators, interns or project engineers as needed.
• Support project management with clarifications and assumptions.
• Lead bid process activities and assist senior estimators.
