Job summary

Kaufman Lynn Construction in Florida seeks a Preconstruction Estimator to prepare budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages for CM at Risk projects. You will work with the preconstruction and project teams to assemble bidders lists, evaluate subcontractor proposals, and review plans for constructability and value engineering.

You may supervise estimators or interns and will develop unit costs, conduct plan reviews, and contribute to life cycle cost analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Construction preferred.
• Ability to read engineering and architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate quantity takeoffs for all CSI divisions.
• Develops unit costs and prepares accurate pre-bid analyses.
• Solicits subcontractor and vendor pricing input and analyzes proposals.
• Assists in pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews.
• Supervises estimators, interns, or project engineers as needed.
