Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced estimator to prepare detailed project estimates from drawings and specifications. You will lead bid packages for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts, manage document flow, and coordinate with trade partners and the design team.

You will support constructability reviews, perform value analysis, and guide junior staff on scope and proposals while ensuring on-time deliverables for San Antonio, TX projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience as an estimator.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates including quantity take-offs, analysis, and studies for assigned scope.
• Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for different contract types (Lump Sum, GMP, Cost Plus).
• Lead document management for the project and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Serve as liaison with trade partners, design team, and client; manage trade partner information.
• Support constructability reviews and value analysis.
• Develop scope understanding for trade packages and coordinate with project team to close gaps.
• Prepare scope requisitions for assigned trades and evaluate proposals.
• Compile post-bid activities and finalize trade partner scope; advise project lead on awards.
• Supervise Assistant Estimators and Estimating Interns.
