Job summary

RIMEPRO INC is seeking a Preconstruction Estimator to support complex commercial, multifamily, institutional, and mixed-use projects across NorCal. You will handle early budgeting, takeoffs, bid development, value engineering, and coordination from bidding through transition to operations.

The role requires collaboration with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver accurate estimates and robust bid packages.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates for general construction projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop project budgets
• Review plans, specifications, and project documents for completeness, risk, and constructability
• Develop detailed bid scopes and trade packages
• Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor proposals
• Lead pre-bid meetings and coordinate with trade partners
• Present budgets, cost options, and value engineering recommendations to clients and design teams
• Participate in design development and preconstruction meetings
• Support subcontractor selection, buyout, and contract preparation
• Coordinate constructability reviews with project and quality teams
• Develop initial project schedules and site logistics plans with Operations
• Track project budgets, cost changes, and preconstruction milestones
• Support and mentor junior estimating and project staff as needed
